Q. Which Operation System does wePresent support?
wePresent supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5.0, Mac OS 10.4.
* Mac OS 10.4, Pocket PC 2003 and Windows Mobile 5.0 compatible application software are sold separately.
Q. Does wePresent support IEEE 802.11a,b, and g?
A: wePresent supports 802.11b and 802.11g.
Q. Is wePresent connection secure?
A: Yes, wePresent supports login code protection which controls the security of accessing to this device, and supports WEP (64 & 128 bits) for transmission security.
Q. Can wePresent support a video clip?
A: wePresent supports the playback of MPEG1/MEPG2/MPEG4/WMV9/DIVX/XVID video formats. For best video playback performance, it is strongly recommended that the Wired connection is utilized.
* As for the wireless connection, 802.11g is recommended and actual performance will vary depending on environment.
Q. How far can wireless connect?
A: The distance of wireless transmission is normally up to 100 meters, depending on network environment conditions such as over-used AP, network traffic rate, and quality of network connection.
Q. How to upgrade the firmware?
A: To upgrade the firmware, you need to enter the default web page for firmware upgrade with the admin privilege to the wePresent, then select the latest firmware in awd file format and submit to upgrade. It takes 5~7 minutes to complete the process.
* After that, every client is required to un-install the WPS application and re-install the updated wps software downloaded from the device.
Q. How to access the internet through the wePresent?

If you would like to gain an access to the internet through wePresent, please follow the instructions listing below to modify your network settings:  

  1. Please connect your PC client to wePresent
  2. Modify the “Gate Keeper” setting from the default “All Block” mode to “All Pass” or “Internet Only” mode in the administrator page.
  3. Connect wePresent to your DHCP server (Like your home ADSL Modem) by using the standard LAN cable.
  4. The access to the internet is gained through the wePresent.
